Any poor people who think the Republicans will meet their needs will be disappointed. But that's the problem, perception, because the Democrats won't meet their needs either. If you are wealthy, you are well served in this country. Everyone else does not get any representation. We have ceased being a democracy. Look at the candidate choices. We choose between the wealthy or the wealthy or a candidate controlled by the wealthiest one percent. We are an oligarchy. Our government is in a stranglehold controlled by the contributions of the most elite, wealthy Americans. As the Rand Report recently stated, the wealthy are taking a ever larger share of the national income. They want it all and there is nothing to stop them from taking it.
