Because our tax dollars are reserved for war. The hell with Americans, Russia is about invade Ukraine. Look at the great works we accomplished in Afghanistan! If we hadn't intervened in Viet Nam it would be a communist country today and the world would not be safe for democracy. We don't have money to waste on Americans because we have to save the world. Besides if Americans want "free stuff" they should move to a socialist country. America is for capitalist warriors.
