Both parties want them here, especially in view of declining birth rates. All the bull about building a wall to keep out immigrants is a smokescreen. What good is a wall when 70,000 vehicles and 20,000 pedestrians cross just one of our border crossing each day. Searching each and every vehicle would harm trade and business so that is never going to happen. THE ECONOMY RULES--one point that is a totally bi-partisan position.

According to the U.S. government, the San Ysidro port of entry is the busiest land border crossing in the Western Hemisphere. It’s one of three ports of entry near the San Diego area and processes an average of 70,000 northbound vehicle passengers and 20,000 northbound pedestrians daily.

If you want to stop illegal immigration you must remove the incentive to come to the U.S. Higher paying jobs are the irresistible the incentive. And the vast majority of these jobs U.S. citizens don't want. But even these lowly jobs pay more than they can ever make in their home country.
