Easy to say when you are white. Try slipping on another pair of shoes. I suppose you would not worry as a black parent how your son or daughter might be viewed in the eyes of some white policemen. As a white parent I could advise my kids to call the police in case of trouble, for example a car accident. I don’t think I’d give the same advise if I had a black teenager. Racism crawled out from under a rock with the election of President Obama. The racists could not stand the idea of a black man in the White House. Now racism is celebrated with Trump. It’s amazing to me that as inhabitants of the same planet, how many still cling to racism. It’s just another rendition of if I disparage you, I can feel better about myself.
