Excellent! It's the employers who lure illegal immigrants to America. Instead we round up the illegals, truck them back to Mexico and they are back tomorrow. The US dangles the lure of high paying jobs (by their standards). Employers love them. They are hard working and happy to have a job, any job. They don't whine and complain like American workers. I recently spoke to a fellow rebuilding his home after one of the California fires. Quite the contrary to previous statements he was thrilled with the work ethic of his Hispanic crews. They were always on time, worked a full day, were willing to make adjustments to plans that caused them more work, but they did it all with a smile and music playing in the background. My friend could care less if they were legal or not. But he would still be eager to complain about immigrants at the border with his golf buddies. He’s almost made the connection, but not quite.
Employers are the problem, but to finger them might endanger the one true God—the economy. Without job opportunities, there would be no illegals. But our deceitful politicians never go there—it cuts too close to their own illegal laborers.
I would suggest one warning, but at the next infraction, confiscate all the business holdings and freeze the bank accounts until the assets can be auctioned, liquid assets used to bolster future prosecutions. End of problem. But, no, our reps are in bed with big business where profit trumps ethics without a backward glance. Let’s build a useless wall instead, and pretend there are no ladders, hack saws, or shovels.
