For me retirement means staying useful on my terms. I like to write here on Medium, I've learned to code. I cook more. I learned to bake bread. I have the time to help my kids with their adult projects. If you idea of retirement is to watch TV all day, by all means keep working. I prefer to keep learning, to follow my interests. My ideal retirement village would be attached to the local university where I could audit any classes that interested me. I've always been an idea person and new ideas stem from knowledge.
