I agree that capitalism is the problem and there is no mechanism within capitalism to fight climate change. There is no way to make a profit from it doing something because it's the right thing to do, because there is no market for it. However there is ample opportunity to enhance profit by cutting corners polluting, by burning dirty fuel, just by running business as usual. So what if the questions becomes capitalism or extinction? "Sorry we couldn't save humanity because we are stuck on one economic system." It makes no sense.
