I agree, the prepper thing is way overboard. I would not mind moving where there was abundant water. The drought is northern California is always nagging in the background. But I'd have to move by myself because my wife wold never leave the grandkids behind, and I quess neither would I.

A writer oh Medium mentioned a symposium where the wealthy attendees brought up the topic of how to control their security staff in the event of a situation where they were forced to hunker down. They actually considered “kill” collars worn by all security staff to counter a revolt. I think they are beginning to realize that their money is worthless if society is in shambles.
