I also believe degrowth is the answer. The Earth's overshoot day is July 25, but by country the U.S. overshoot day is March 14. That's the date we use up our share of the Earth's resources for the entire year.

Our Congress is incapable of managing anything, so we will fall into degrowth, unprepared, kicking and screaming of the unfairness of it all while our leaders pine for past.
