I don't know where you live, but community colleges in California offer the complete lineup of competitive sports. If one of you children is still interested in sports as well as getting settled into the college routine, a community college is a great place to start.

Consider it a proving ground. So many kids go off to a four year school only to return home a short time later. Plus it's far easier to transfer into to a four year school than to gain admission as a freshman. Besides the first two years whether a four year school of community college is a continuation of general education which is far cheaper at a community college. All my kids went that route and it turned out pretty well.
