I suppose my point about businesses imposing mandates is that conservatives are always harping about the glories of private enterprise and the awful imposition and intrusion of government in their lives. Private enterprises will do whatever is necessary to ensure profits, if that's vaccinating and masking all employees that is what they will do. If they choose to fire employees who fail to follow the rules that is what they will do. They don’t care how the employee feels about it. Feelings don’t matter, only the profit matters. So on the one hand you have government trying to do their best to halt the pandemic with vaccinations and mandates—and people cry tyranny. But when corporate America requires vaccinations and mandates or risk your job, you either toe the line or quit. How can conservatives possibly question the mandates of their heroes the beloved, do no wrong private sector?
