I think parents play a critical role in their kids education. Involved parents usually insure their kids success. Defunding public school makes no sense, except to Republicans. But I think public education needs some tweaks to get it back on track. One thing is coming to the realization that not everyone is going to college, yet that's what schools aim for. We have eliminated almost all of out vocational programs. Only 36 percent of US citizens earn a college degree. What are we doing for the other 66 percent? We are driving them away from school.
