I too thought we had turned a corner and made great progress when we elected President Obama. But from the beginning of his term in office there was a ugly and disturbing rise in overt out from under the rocks racism that culminated in the election of racist Trump. Trump continued to validate white supremacy all through his term in office. In the last fourteen years we have raced backward as a society.
