I understand that, but please consider:
I've been a independent for many years. Neither party serves the average citizen. Both parties are beholden to wealthy interests. And I believe we need an equally strong third party. I've considered voting Green in the past many times. But this year too much is at stake.
--
The Green Party simply fails to make an impact. No Green party member has ever been elected to Congress.
--
At the state level their are eight Green Party members scattered across the U.S. All but three were elected as Democrats and later in office switched to the Green Party.
--
Of the three who were elected as Green, two changed allegiance later in office, one became an independent, one became a Democrat and only John Elder of the 118th district in Maine was elected as a Green and remained so.

If the Green Party can't get elected to the lower state houses, and they've never been elected to Congress, how can they possibly make the leap to the White House?
--
Still I'd give my vote out of protest to the other two parties--BUT NOT THIS YEAR!
--
Trump and Project 2025 are a clear menace to everyone right here at home. I will not take a chance on insanity returning to the White House.
--
The Greens spawn from the ranks of the Dems. A vote for Greens might as well be a vote for Trump. I would just as soon die as vote for him. And rest assured the Greens will not pull a single vote from the Repugnant Party.
--
We need a strong third party to end this either/or system that is failing our country miserably, but the blatant insanity of the Repugnant Party must be stopped first or the U.S. may never see another election again.
--
The Greens need to ramp up their visibility and grow in number and strength well before an election year. I strongly believe we need what the Greens have to offer. But they need to start by making an impact in state elections and Congress. Perhaps then they will have a fighting chance.
