I understand the difference. Our elected representatives do a fine job looking out for themselves, for the average guy, not so much. Mostly one side blocks the other and their biggest concern is how to get re-elected. A simple law, ensuring everyone's right to vote will never pass. A simple solution would be nation-wide vote by mail. Simplifying the voting process brought out a record turnout (the democratic part of our republic, choosing our reps), but one party is hell bent on limiting voter turn out. A majority of Republicans still believe the orange haired jackal is the president. We just had an insurrection at the capital, but it's not worth investigating. 35% of Americans believe the QAnon bullshit. A good portion believe the Earth is flat. Hell, we're doing great compared to most 3rd world countries.
