I wonder how serious this philosophical divide would be without the constant agitation of social media and mainstream media, the latter vying for ratings. The average American may spew bullshit online one minute, then park themselves in front of the TV the next. Civil war, “Hey I can’t I’ve got to go to work tomorrow, and the kids have soccer.” How much did anyone’s life really change from Obama to Trump to Biden? If you turned off the TV and Internet would you have noticed? Do people view this divide so real that they would uproot their family to move to the land of their choosing? I don’t think so.
