You write as though the economy is the only factor that affects the mood of the country. How about the dysfunctional government? How about looming climate change that gets only lip service. What about the growing divide in our country. What about growing inequality. You say wage growth is brisk, but wage theft is a bigger problem. Look at the outsized share the top percenters are taking of the national income as evidenced in the Rand Report.
