I'm sickened by the tepid response to the insurrection. Two hundred and twenty-five years ago Donald Trump, Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mo Brooks, Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, would have been hung for treason. That would satisfied me.

You are so right about our citizens attention span. A quick look at the news on January 6th and how many people mumbled, "I've seen the movie." "That's so boring, let's watch cat videos on YouTube." "Have you seen that new dessert on Pinterest." I've got to check my email, or Facebook or Instagram, I'll be back later."

Or how many Americans cheered it, buying into the "Qanon" shit. The New York Times claimed, in an article today, that 1/5 of US adults buy into "Q". Look at all the Christian organizations who have bought into this stuff.

I often wonder if we have the collective intelligence to support a democracy.

Let's face it, if you really believe you need a con-man like Donald Trump to save the nation, you have chucked your brain and stopped thinking for yourself.

If one look at that so called "Q shaman" doesn't set you straight, you must be living in a cave somewhere dancing for rain and the benevolence of the forest spirits.
