In our capitalist dominated society I doubt very much that any energy source will be a game changer regarding human nature. Capitalists will control the new energy source and price it out accordingly. The poor will remain poor, the rich will get richer and war? What would the US be without war? War is vital to our economy. We have been at war for all but about thirty years of our history.
