It sure would be refreshing if our world leaders would actually address the issue of declining fossil fuels. But looks what happening right now in Europe. Prolonged lack of wind has unbalance their grid. Because they are heavily dependent on Russia for natural gas to balance the grid, they are subject to manipulation and price gouging.

We don't have to run out of fossil fuels to have a problem, it's enough that we are past peak production and on the downhill side of decline. Europeans are facing stiff energy price increases and blackouts.

But you are absolutely right, it's a catch-22, will our climate kill us or will we be around long enough to experience a shocking decline in available energy.

It's a grim race.

That's why it's important that the powers that be recognize the extent of our problems and plan accordingly. Instead there is no planning while humanity hurtles ahead towards certain destruction.
