It would be intereting to see if the higher cost of gas is decreasing VMT. If so maybe we'd be better off at $10 a gallon. It seems as though the only way people make changes is if it hits them in the wallet.

It's also counter productive that industry is moving to get people back in the office. Why? Our daughter-in-law writes and maintains policy for for a large hospital organization. Her job requires a phone and a good internet connection, the office holds all the distractions plus a heafty commute.

It would be helpful if the California Public Utilities Commission got on board. They seem to side with the utilities with new rules to make solar less affordable. They are always on the look-out to protect the utilities profit margin. In our area we are served by three time felon PG&E.
