It would take pages to vent about what I would do. We went to Afghanistan for revenge. That decision was made days after 9/11. At the very least I would have gotten out after we killed bin Laden ten years ago. What have we accomplished since. I have no illusions about our government. Big money has corrupted any semblance of democracy.

In the papers over the weekend we are constantly reminded, "Never Forget." We experience one incursion on American soil and twenty years later it's "Never Forget." After a 20 year occupation of Afghanistan, how many Afghan men and women have burned into their souls "Never Forget."
