It's wasteful and a crazy addiction as well. As far as recycling goes, very little of anything ever gets recycles. Notice how almost all plastic is stamped with those little green circular arrows, it's a marketing gimmick, 72 percent of plastic ends up in landfills, only 9 percent is recycled and the remainder is incinerated (imagine the noxious gases produced according to the MIT Technology Review.
