I've thought about rationing across other areas as well. If the goal is to lower admissions, why don't we ration gasoline. Raising the price just gives a free pass to the wealthy. Rationing is fair to everyone. Plus people could be financially rewarded for conservation by selling their unused ration coupons at the same time knowing that as a country we have reduced overall consumption and met our goals.

But we will never ration anything because we might harm the economy.
