I've used the liquid form as well and also vape pens, and edibles. They all work great for a while, but the effect seems to taper off with time.

Original equipment wears out and the after-market parts are not quite the same. After two knee replacements (football and skiing) and a hip replacement I've some experience with narcotic induced sleep. It's terrific, until it's not. The wonderful drug induced sleep gradually diminishes as well. With the knee replacements I had been on oxycodone so long it took a month of almost zero sleep to restore my natural sleep mechanism. This time around with the hip it was about a month of tossing and turning and a few hours sleep each night. Thankfully that's almost past.

Other than that life is good. I have not been sick since before March of 2020, who says masks and social distancing don't work. I'm on my sixteenth year of deciding what I want to do each day and I'm never bored.
