No we should coddle them, maybe they'll try it again. There appeared to be no consequences to running rampant over the congressional building. At the least they should have been arrested. From what I read, often right here on Medium, many of these assholes never left the capital and are waiting to raise hell on the day of the inaugration. Maybe some innocent bystanders will be killed and Trump can parise them again as really fine people. If we lose respect for the law, I guess will sink to the level of some third world countries where every change in power is accompanied by violence. A peaceful transistion of power used to be a hallmark of our democracy. No more.
