Patriotism requires that you have faith in your country, its people, its leadership, and its institutions. I never thought the American people would be susceptible to an asshole like Trump. Christians shot themselves in the head when they swooned for Trump. Who would want to spend every Sunday with a bunch of Trump boot-lickers? Money becomes overly important when it's the only thing separating you from living on the street.
