Pretty much. It matters not that we are a nation of immigrants, what matters was when their skin color changed to darker complexions.

They get everything else about the time period wrong. It was a period of strong government regulations that kept things like banking from going off the rails. It was a time of strong unions and most of all it was a period of adequate taxation. From WWII until the mid '80s the top tax bracket never fell below 70 percent. It was also a time of decent wages, pensions and benefits and time when ratio of CEO pay to worker averaged 20-1 instead of the 600-1 it is today. The middle class thrived, and inequality was held in check.
