Refreshing article, I hope you are successful in moving away from Trump. But the sentence above caught my eye. If you really want to do something for the average person in America, stop attacking Social Security and fix it. It won't take much, just remove the cap on Social Security wages. I understand that to wealthy Republicans it's just pocket change or money to bet on a round of golf, but to millions of Americans it's a part of their retirement—for many it's their only lifeline. I know we are all supposed to be wealthy and self supporting like good Republicans, but it doesn’t always work out that way. The three lower quintiles represent Americans too, struggling Americans. In the midst of all the breaks for the rich it would me a kind gesture to repair Social Security.

Stop with the lies about Social Security impacting the deficit. Out of Social Securities long history it has collected more than it has paid out 75 out of 85 years. Removing the cap would restore the program to full health. No American needs an automatic tax break at $142,800 in income. Sure they will pay in more than the average Joe, but we used to have a concept of “doing something for common good of all.”
