 energy inputs and a very-very stable manu… raising prices even higher. Microchip manufacturing is the canary in the coal mine (pun intended). A very resource intensive activity, requiring rare exotic materials, high energy inputs and a very-very stable manufacturing environment — none of which can be provided on an intermittent or otherwise constrained basis.

Renewables, producing electricity alone can not reach the temperatures required for half of our current industrial processes, including the manufacture of solar panels, cement and steel for the construction of wind turbine towers. The wind turbine 120 foot long blades are formed from a petroleum based resin.
