Sure, everybody thought Rittenhouse was the active shooter. People see a baby-faced teen with a gun who just shot two people what do you expect them to think? That's why the police and national guard wear uniforms so people can tell the good guys from the bad guys. He could have very well shot Rittenhouse. Good guy with a gun kills good guy with a gun. It happens in the confusion of war. It's called friendly fire. And soldiers are trained. Rittenhouse was not trained, he was a teenager. Do you really believe that Rittenhouse was the ONLY good guy on the scene? The trouble came when they couldn't tell the good guys from the bad guys.
