That's me in a nutshell. A revision of a knee replacement went sideways. My kneecap will never stay in the optimal position again. But more than anything I hate being dependent on others. I've been a do-it-yourselfer my entire life. If it breaks I fix it, if it's stuck I move it. All that is gone now and it sucks. I don't feel I'm a true partner in our marriage anymore. My wife is terrific, but I don't want to be cared for.
