The celebration of ignorance in the U.S. is something to behold. But it seems the right has also abandoned decency as well. Trump is a bully, he calls people demeaning nicknames and anything he disagrees with is labeled “fake” news. A reporter can ask a seemingly innocuous question, but if the question threatens Trump’s self perception, he goes on the attack. “You’re a lousy reporter, that’s a stupid question.” This has become the norm. How can any parent look on this behavior and not fear for what their children might glean from it?

The conservative right mocks a virus that’s sickened over a million people and killed 60,000 in a couple of months. How can this tribe to ever acknowledge global warming, a concept far more nebulous than a virus that can kill an elderly member of your family in ten days.
