The only real Americans are the original native Americans. Everybody else is an immigrant from another country. Everybody wants to slam the door on immigration once they get here. But Republicans in particular want to slam the door on people of color. Racism is not unique to the U.S., but we are deeply afflicted with it, perhaps terminally addicted.

It amazes me that a supposedly intelligent species can sort people by color. But in a world that thrives on hate, any means to look down on another and sow division is acceptable.
