There are many things that are out of whack, overuse of everything by US citizens is paramount. So no, removing inhabitants of one country to coddle US gluttons is not something I would ever consider. Reducing the population by decreasing the fertility takes time. But it should be a goal.

If we ever get serious, which is doubtful, we need to ration fuel, home energy use, and beef immediately to slow emissions now.

But seriously look at the US. We can't even except a simple health care mandate to protect ourselves in a pandemic without childish temper tantrums. The US population does not have the maturity to accept rationing, or any sacrifice for that matter.

If not for my grand children, I think the world is so fucked up I'd tend to root for climate change and extinction as the best course for humanity.

But on the other hand I'm sure COP27 will fix everything--because what we really need our are more meaningless pledges.
