There is nothing wrong with a trade other than the fact that our educational system looks down their noses at "blue collar" work. But not everyone is cut out to go to college. In 2023, the U.S. college graduation rate was 62.2%. That alone should highlight the fact that college is not for everyone. But our school system funnels everyone towards college no matter their aptitude. Ask any contractor, it's very hard to find reliable help even though the work pays quite well.
