This is an interesting "we." I don't know how much power you have to bring about change, but my power pretty much ends with my household choices. Sure our government is giving incentives to run out and buy and electric car, but where are the incentives to simply limit your driving to the bare minimum? We could afford to jet off on vacation to far flung locations, but we don't. Instead we live simply and faithfully cast our votes in every election.

--

The "we" you speak of is our profit focused corporations who will ring every last cent out of the status-quo and our absolutely dysfunctional government.

The U.S. was once a world leader. But this deposed world leader is poised to elect a heinous criminal and stick him back in the White House. What brilliant acts does he promise on his first day back? Drill baby drill and close the Mexican border to protect and please the white-supremacists.

--

What we need is a sea-change in leadership in the U.S. and the world. Do you see that happening with the current population of the U.S? Sorry, but there is not a chance in hell. All Americans want is cheap gas and cheap merchandise.

--

Instead of thoughtful leadership that could ease us into a de-growth transition, we will continue hell-bent down the same tragic path until mother Earth rids herself of the human parasites who are incapable of exercising any self-control.
