We started offshoring in the fifties for the simple reason that it was cheaper to manufacture in foreign lands with cheap labor and little if any workplace guidelines. What's changed? The cost of living in the U.S. demands high wages to survive, goods will never be cheaper to manufacture in the U.S. than it is in less developed countries. No single administration can reverse seventy-four years of offshoring.
