Why? School children are subject to gun violence on a regular basis. Our schools look more like jail with fences and locked gates to keep out dangerous people.

If our elected officials were subject to more of the same gun violence maybe things would change.

Enhanced security measures? You mean politicians are scared to be in public--we send our children to public schools everyday. Where are their body guards and enhanced security?

Personally I'd much rather the crazies shot at politicians rather than innocent children.
