Yep, we might as well try having a bake sale to save the planet. Corporations will continue to chase profit. Pollution, climate change, plastic packaging are all just externalities of capitalism and they just don't count. They don't impact the market. With capitalism, doing the right thing never even enters into the equation, if it’s cost effective to pollute, then pollute, profit is all. It’s a real shitty philosophy and can only be countered by taxes and strong government regulation. We have neither.
