Yes, they are using it as a scare tactic. Conservatives seem very gullible, and refuse to do any research on their own. CTR it is not taught in schools. What is taught in schools is a conservative white washed version of history. Nobody gets the straight unvarnished truth until college. The first step in implementing a CRT curriculum would be to teach the real history of the US. We don't even do that. I believe the basic concept of CRT is spot on. All the years of slavery and segregation have deeply affected the attitudes of the people and the institution of the US.
